Is there really a difference between fairy tales, song lyrics, and literature? I don’t believe the difference is as big as some people seem to make it. Fairy tales seem to have a different style than our normal idea for literature. They can still teach a lesson and can have good story lines as well. Fairly tales can effect our emotions; they make us happy, sad, mad and seem to be much easier to read.
Song lyrics are definitely a type of literature. If you were to take any song lyric, especially love songs, and put it into poetic format, you would have a beautiful poem. And same as fairy tales, songs can and usually effect our emotions. Also songs are much easier to listen to then reading a novel or short story for most people.

Fairy Tales

Just because the stories we read shared the common titles of the famous Disney Fairy Tales does not mean that they too must be fairy tales. In my eyes, the two short stories of Cinderella and Little Red Riding Hood were not at all fairy tales but regular short stories for younger teenagers to read. The two short stories tend to share the same interests, in teaching a lesson about life. Compared to the Disney versions of Cinderella and Little Red Riding Hood, which are more for entertainment use for children. Also, the Disney version unlike the short stories went for a younger age target instead of the teenagers. But, both versions of the stories seem to teach a lesson while entertaining. Overall, it was interesting reading the different endings of the stories to get a different feel from another author.
