Fairy Tales
The fairy tales stories we had to read for class were a bit interesting. Like in the little red riding hood stories it seems to me that it was a fairy tale only told to little girls at the time. Because in the end of every one of the stories it seems to be giving little girls a warning never talk to strangers if they do they’ll end up being “dinner for a wolf”.
And the cinderella stories with toes being cut off, and eyes being plucked out seems to be a little to much for kids thats probably why they changed this story throught out the years.

I also agree with you that the fairy tales were interesting. I think that the parts you explain should be taken out when reading to a young child but when it comes to a young teen I think they might be appropriate. They could teach a young teen some lessons. I also think that a younger audience is more relevant to fairy tales and that is why the violent parts were excluded for the children’s versions.
