The class was very intersting some times it was slow, but when it came about the class i think the material you picked us to read was enjoyable. Only thing that didnt make the class work was us the students we didnt want to get involved. I think if we opened up more that class would of be amazing because the stuff you had us read and look at. Was all excitement to me, even thought i was bored with teh class because of the dead silence i liked this english class more then any other i took in my schooling years. you cant control what the class does but you still pushed past it and tried and i give you credit for it. So i just wanted to say that i enjoyed your class. good luck next semester.

Im at the end of this book and i know alot of people say that dont like this book and how its racist. but to me i liked it alot it just puts you into the body an eyes of someone elses world and how they have to take it. Its not racist to me because when it come down to it most of it is the truth. i enjoyed this book alot even thought the house of spirts was my favorite book we read in class this one is up there with it. i hope you keep having your students read this book

Alexie Amusements

In the first page of the chapter amusements. there is a quote “I lower a frayed rope into the depths and hoist the same old Indian tears to my eyes. The liquid is pure and irresistible” by adrian c Louis. When i first read that it was like what the heck are these people talking about. Maybe im wrong or just not understanding it but after reading that chapter to me them words ment alot more.  When they talked about the frayed rope and into the depths i think they are talking about the actions of Victore and his wrong decision to put dirty joe on that roller coaster when he is passed out drunk. Not even thinking of the wrongs and damage that could come out of this situation. Then when he talks about the same hoist old indian tears to my eye. This is to me when he realized what he did was wrong and where he did it was a bigger mistake being in a white people fair that dont appreciate indian people. First time when people start to notice it they werent laughing about how funny it was they were laughing because it was getting done to an indian if that was a white person on that back cart do u think that they would be reacting the same?

For class we had to read the first 15 pages of the book. When i got to the 15 page this book makes you want to read more and not let the  book down. When i get that feelings for a book in a weird way it makes me enjoy it more because it got my attention from page one instead of page 100 when i already lost hope for the book and understanding it.

McMurphy and Chiefs realtionship

At first Mcmurphy is only using chief thinking that he wouldnt understand what he is doing. So he tries to give chief encouragement and confidents so that chief starts giving into trust with mcmurphy. Then that trust to mcmurphy is kinda like a protection shield beause if anything were to happen he thinks that chief wouldnt understand and try to stop the people probalby end up hurting himself in the end. Its weird how this is rear alot of friendships start off this way but in the end mcmurphy found a friend in chief as chief found himself in mcmurphy from talking again and everything. When chief found mcmurphy that night after the shock treatment he knew it was only right to stop the pain because in a way thats what mcmurphy did to him stopped him from hiding and not understand. he gave all the me hope and something to understand and look forward too even thought at the begginning it all started out as a way to try and get ahead of the system, he found out in the end that he found friendship in all of it

McMurphys power

In one of the class decusions we looked at this quote from the book “If you’re up against a guy who wants to win by makign you weaker instead of making himself stronger, then watch for his knee, he’s gonna go for your vitals. And that’s what that old buzzard is doing, going for your vitals” This is sad to realize that this is what the world is coming too a man tryn to find the easy way out of trouble by taking over people who dont have the power to defend themselves. He talks to the men in that quote about the other people in the world and the nurse, but to me when i think about it hes really just talking about himself. Just makes you wonder if he really understands that he is talking about himself or not.

Blood Wedding movie

Im not sure if many of you enjoyed the movie but to me it was the most horrible cheaply made movie ever. I could of went into a dance room with my camera from walmart and a group of my friends and act this out. It made me so mad how they never talked and they try to make the whole story out by a dance or stomping of the feet. If i were not to read the story during while we watch the movie i would have been clueless of who was who and what happened. Only thing in the end i would know is that someone got stabbed cuz the death scene only seemed to take 30 mins to act it out in matrix style which makes you wonder why they did it that way.

When i first started reading the blood wedding it was not to say confussing, but it just didnt seem right how it was wrote. Till awhile after i made myself read it more and soon it started to grow on me. Its not like juliet story how there forbidded love in a way. All throught out this story i still do not understand his mother she was a snob and she was just plan weird. Its sad how for her and her daughter inlaw to get along not as friends but in an understandment because she finally realized how her love for the man was powering like how her use to be for her lost husband…

In the book on page 38 on the paragraph about when Clara see’s them doing the autopbsy on Rosa its says “had been transformed into a dark, fat vampire just like the ones in her Uncle Marco’s books.” Is she just like using that as an example about what it looked like him carven her up and checkin her insides or is there something special about the doctor too?

The deaths of The house of the spirits.

I have been reading alot of books since i could get my hands on them, specially all kinds of ones alot of them were like this book. In all them books only books that there was alot of deaths it was like a murder/mystery, but it seems that almost in every chapter at least 1-2 people die. Its always in a very random weird way they all die just not like normal ones. If you think about it thought how many people have died so far and were only in chapter 8?
