Sunday, October 1st, 2006I think the importance of these stories are to give us a better understanding of the state of mind that all the characters are in, and at what time this occurs..It shows the difference in the state of mind of different characters…like the ones that went into war, like tayo hates war, and is sick about it all and freaks out a lot…and other characters boast about how many people they have killed and how many white women they had sexual relations with..and the respect they dont have anymore that they arent serving in the military.
