Corrido Blog

The circulation of a corrido and its many people who speak of the versions give a new and different perspective on literature and oral traditions of stories being passed down from generation to generation. Unlike fairy tales, these corridos are told about factual incidents. They can help represent the values of tradition and lets its listeners relate to the stories. Artists who pass on these stories usually sing Corridos through song from one singer to another. Usually these songs change over time and people eventually obtain a different understanding to the stories themselves. I also think most literature (like those of the corridos) can have some kind of social use because most literature is frequently talked about to appreciate and understand whatever kind of meaning or message its to express. This can also tell me about how literature can be a learning experience for anyone. In class we have taken these types of literature and applied them to what we already know, and then what we could discover. Literature gives a person the chance to think and express thoughts.
