In your prompt I liked how you talked about mental and physical torture that happened throughout the novel. You brought up some great points when talking about Chief Bromden. He is a good character to clue in on because he was one of the only characters to be helped inside the mental hospital. I also thought it was clever how you picked up on the fact that he was actually helped by McMurphy and not the staff. You made great analogies and picked up some good evidence in making the mental ward resemble a prison.

This prompt made me laugh. I like how you related your own life habits to the literature. I agree with all the points that you made. Wish you could expand on a few of the trickery themes or examples. Glad that you shared with everyone how you wanted to keep reading this book.

Adam,
Your blog was very insightful. I never thought of music being a form of literature. Personally, coming from a musical background I typically listen to the beat, but next time I will pay closer attention to the words to get the full story. Also I really like how you mentioned when you read or listen to something it has an effect on your mind. This sounds really cheesy but, I think the world would be a bad place without music and books because they are very theraputic to lots of people. People also express themselves in their music. I think its a healthy outlet for everyone's emotions whether you are in a good or bad mood.
