8 10 2006When stories are told, People spice them up. Some stories need to have a twist tossed in to gain the intrest of others. Wether things are added, taken out or changed completly, it happens all the time. I can think of several stories that have been changed around. Before reading the Corrido story i was able to understand that this is one of those stories that has many twist. I my self, have never heard the story so i thought it would be fun to see whats out there. Old stories i think are the ones that get spun around the most, and this is one old storyI read many version of this story, from just someone being in the wrong place at the wrong time to a gun blazing rebel. I think the reasoning for people changing the stories is for appeal. People dont want to hear about some lone mexican of killed a cop. They may rather hear some big rough cowboy who flattened a town in one night and no one saw his face. thats why there are so many version. SOme of the big version changes were about his family. When Corrtez’s brother was shot, some stories went on about his revenge for his brothers death. Others went off on just hate for the people who let it happen. I like to listen to the same story with a twist, you get the same idea of the story but it will live on longer, as long as the main part of the story stays intack.
