Lies is a perfect example to show the difference between author and authorship. In Lies there is not an author in terms of one person doing the writing. In reffering “author” as having authorship or authority over the writing, the person who set up the Lies website and the person who posts and puts together the submissions is the author. By clicking one submission that turns into another submission, the author can group together similiar submissions and create a play on words that way.

Digital Literature

Digital literature is poetry evolved. With the world changing with technology, poetry needs to change too. I have heard “print is dead” so many times I am starting to believe it. I personally like the digital literature. Print cannot make a play on words literally. With digital literature you can form words and have more freedom to be creative.

Fairy Tales

The Grimm Brothers fairy tales are the origional raw stories before they were turned into classics. I enjoy these stories more than the dolled up Disney versions because they get the message across and make that moral stick. I would not tell the Grimm versions to a young girl, but I think a young boy would enjoy the real versions.
