Ceremony
Monday, September 25th, 2006When I started reading this book, I was so lost because it just started off without much introduction. I’m not sure how to explain what I’m saying but I was just lost. Whenever I finished the book I was still a little confused. However, through all the class discussions about the book I have started to understand and make more sense of the book.
Tayo was the main character of the book. He was white and indian. He believed that Indians made white people from witch craft. He had many nightmares about his life and he felt empty because so he had several different people raise them. This book explains how white people screwed Indians and they had everything. He was never the same after WWII. However, near the end of the book he meets Montano and starts to feel more alive and his nightmares turn into dreams. Montano helped Tayo except being bi-racial.
