I found the trickster to being in the story Funhouse. I would say taht it was the mouse. The mouse bothers the mother while the father and son just sit back and laugh. This causes the mom to leave and the father and son are confused about why she left. The mouse makes the mom realize she is not happy in her family and causes her to stand up for herself. However, in the end the mouse makes a change in the family for the better.

He was not suffering from a mental disorder when he first came to the hospital. He came to the hospital because he didn’t like the farm he was working at. He wasn’t crazy because crazy people don’t know they are crazy and McMurphy said that he was.
He thought he would get released when he was ready but do to his bad temper he had to under go treatments and stay.
I think in the end we realize McMurphy might have been crazy all along. I think Nurse Ratched had a big part to lead up to half the stuff McMurphy did. I think he changed the patients for the better. However, made himself worse.

McMurphy changed alot of people in this book. The most changed patient in this book would be Chieft Bromden. Everyone would just ignore him thinking he was just deaf and dumb. However, McMurphy thought different. He would always talk to Chief and finally one day he broke his silence. Without McMurphy I don’t feel the Chief would have opened up.

The way wee see love and marriage is viewed differently in Blood Wedding. It was not as acceptable to marry out of your social class as it is today. It seems very rare for someone to marry out of social class in this play.
The bridge and Leonardo seemed so in love in this play but their love could not overcome everyone else’s veiws. Money plays a huge part in this marriage and about two rich families coming together.

This book for me was a little slow in the beginning but as I kept reading I got the flow of it and found it to be getting more interesting. I want to keep reading to see what happens next. Blanca to me is a very strong woman. Estaben expects Blanca to obey him but she was very bold about being with Pedro. This book seems to be based on alot of clashes so this keeps me reading.

The digital literature is interesting because the way the text is set up and hwo there is a different line in a shadow behind a line. It does make sense to ask questions. Their approach to reading is lying and to make literature like you have never seen before.
I don’t really see much intention in them, you are not really learning much knowledge with them. The built in interactivity make them seem richer to me because it gives the literature more value.
I l ike the second one better because it is at a slower pace and less distracting than the Arteroids one with the game and noises.

THe way the Corrido was written through it’s many different singers shows a totally different way to write literature. I always interpreted literature as a little boring and mostly uninteresting. The Corrido, however, kept me very interested. It was also interesting having in-class discussions about these stories to see everyone elses opinions on each story.

I believe that the circulation of Corrido tells us that literature should be entertaining. The many different stories makes you want to keep reading so you can see the different endings. Some stories you may have hated Cortez and wanted him dead but other stories you may think of him as the victim. Literature must keep you interested in order for you to keep reading. This literature is a great example of this.

When I started reading this book, I was so lost because it just started off without much introduction. I’m not sure how to explain what I’m saying but I was just lost. Whenever I finished the book I was still a little confused. However, through all the class discussions about the book I have started to understand and make more sense of the book.
Tayo was the main character of the book. He was white and indian. He believed that Indians made white people from witch craft. He had many nightmares about his life and he felt empty because so he had several different people raise them. This book explains how white people screwed Indians and they had everything. He was never the same after WWII. However, near the end of the book he meets Montano and starts to feel more alive and his nightmares turn into dreams. Montano helped Tayo except being bi-racial.

I think everything is worth teaching because we won’t know if we will like something until we try it. Yes, they serve the same purpose and that is not inform and entertain us. I don’t think we read them the same way because there is certain ways to read all types of literature. I don’t like to read things like Shakespeare because I don’t understand his words. So I do not like trying to interpret or analyze literature. To me text in specialized order is not readable.
Today, I think that we use the least words as possible. Maybe it is because the internet and emails to friends, we use the internet lingo and shorten many words. History might think of it as uneducated but it is the easy way out and that is what our “lazy generation” likes to do.
